Hello everyone,

The SOC of IAUS 361: Massive Stars Near & Far  have ranked all 76 (!) new abstract submissions (just new ones from ECRs..! ) and added the Top 20 to the earlier allocated 30 ECR slots. The overwhelming response again emphasises the vitality of our Field.

We appreciate the outcome would be somewhat disappointing to so many ECRs but the SOC had no workable other solution (again). Just realise the non-inclusion of most talk slots is by no means a reflection on the Quality. Conversely, we hope everyone can appreciate that the selected slots are well deserving.

We think it is an exciting programme incl. LBVs, WRs, RSG, Stellar physics (pulsations, rotation, mass loss, B-fields), single & binary star evolution, atmospheres, low-Z galaxies, Population Synthesis, early star formation, Supernovae, etc.

Although the speakers are all in the ECR category we hope (expect!) the entire massive star community to attend.
